GARY, Ind. - The Gary SouthShore RailCats return home looking to improve upon a 28-14 record at beautiful U. S. Steel Yard on Tuesday, August 23 for an eight-game homestand featuring awesome promotions all week long in addition to record-setting crowds this weekend! Now, here is your chance to see the hilarious Myron Noodleman LIVE for the first time in Northwest Indiana thanks to U. S. Steel Gary Works! Myron Noodleman will rock the house with routines that fans of all ages will love. Whether he is wildly dancing on the dugout, boogying with the umpires and players, or being the ultimate goofball in the stands, Myron Noodleman is guaranteed to make you laugh! Time has also come for the Revenge of the Nerds at U. S. Steel Yard as pocket protectors, suspenders and calculators take over the ballpark. Well, mark your calendar for next hockey season as the RailCats honor the 2010 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks as they look to kick off another run towards the cup! What's a Blackhawks Night without a Hawk' Don't worry fans here comes a hawk a mighty Blackhawk, in attendance on this evening will be Dennis Savard, one of the Chicago Blackhawks Ambassadors and a Hockey Hall of Famer. He will visit Northwest Indiana and U. S. Steel Yard to greet and sign autographs for lucky fans! Savard, who was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2000, is one of seven Blackhawks to have their numbers retired. Savard spent 12 of his 17 NHL seasons with the Hawks and amassed 473 career goals in 1,196 career games. In addition to Savard, the first 1,000 fans entering the ballpark on this night will receive a free hockey puck thanks to our friends at NIEMI Associates and the Post-Tribune. Sunday also means kids run the bases after the game but make sure the little ones have their shoes tied!

We pay tribute to the late King of Pop, Gary native Michael Jackson, on his birthday. U. S. Steel Yard was the site of a large memorial service in 2009 and actually hosted Jackson early in the park's history. Today, we share our memories as you share yours, and you'll be sure to hear the greatest hits blaring throughout the park all night. Also don't forget that this night is a Dollar Monday! All summer long on Mondays get $1 hot dogs, popcorn, pop, programs, merchandise and more throughout the park.
