Rage Stop Thunder in Shootout

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder lost 1-0 in a shootout to the Rocky Mountain Rage on Saturday night at the Kansas Coliseum. Tim Boron stopped all 29 shots to face him from regulation through overtime. Rage forward Aaron Davis scored the only goal of the shootout with a backhand attempt in Rocky Mountain's third round. Rage goaltender Marty Magers picked up the shutout victory, stopping 31 Thunder shots.

The Thunder have been shutout three times in the last five games. Wichita is now 2-1 in shootouts this season and 3-2 in overtime. The Thunder dropped to 2-8-1 at the Coliseum, and have lost six games in a row. The game marked the first shootout at the Coliseum since February 21st, 2007. The Thunder is now 0-8-1 when outshooting their opponents.

The Thunder continues their current homestand this Friday against the Mississippi Riverkings. Natural Light cans will be available for just $1.50 at the Coliseum. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. For tickets, call the Thunder office at 264-GOAL.
