Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - The Rafters took a tough loss last night to the Rockford Rivets. The 10-2 loss moved the Rafters to 11-10 on the second half and 26-30 overall. This ranks the cranberry and gold tied for fifth in the Second Half South Division Standings with the First Half South Division Champions the Madison Mallards. Wisconsin Rapids is now 2.5 games back from the South Division leaders, the Kenosha Kingfish.

The Rockford Rivets moved to 6-16 on the second half and 24-32 overall. Last night's win for Rockford stopped a 12-game skid on the road. The Rivets are still settled in last place in the Second Half South Division Standings and are eight games back.

On the mound tonight for the Rafters is Dixie State junior, Chandler Greenfield. In the 2018 season for the Rafters Greenfield has a 2-1 record and sports a 4.19 ERA. He recently transitioned from a relief pitcher and is now in the starting rotation. In 34.1 innings pitched he has totaled 16 hits, 16 walks and 30 strikeouts.

Pitching for the Rivets is Brad Littleton. The sophomore from Lewis is currently 1-1 for the Rivets with a 4.86 ERA. This righthander has made four game appearances with three starts and totaled 16.2 innings. In his time on the mound, he has struck out nine batters, walked three and allowed 20 hits.

The first pitch is slated for 4:05 p.m. Following today, the Rafters head on a five day, six game road trip to Rockford, Kalamazoo and Battle Creek.
