Game One

The first contest was picked-up in the top of the second inning with Battle Creek leading 1-0, continuing the suspended game at Green Bay on July 20. A RBI single by Andre Antone (Freshman, UC Irvine) tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the third.

In the top of the ninth inning, the Bombers commenced the comeback trail. Zach Gartner ripped a RBI single to knot the score at 3-3. Battle Creek regained the advantage in the 10th inning with Alec Cargin blooping a two-out RBI base-knock, making it a 4-3 game.

Game 2

The Bullfrogs struck first in the opening frame on Antone's two-out RBI single to grab an early 1-0 advantage. Battle Creek answered quickly in the bottom of the first with a RBI triple by Jordan Swiss to tie contest at 1-1 followed with a run-scoring single from Bailey to put the Bombers ahead 2-1.

Both teams were held scoreless until the fifth inning when the Green Bay bats came through in the clutch. A RBI triple by Maris tied the game at 2-2. Damla then smoked a go-ahead RBI double to put the Frogs back on top 3-2.

Green Bay added an important insurance run in the seventh inning as Alejandro Gonzalez (Freshman, Hillsborough CC) scored on an error by the center fielder to stretch the advantage to 4-2. Battle Creek would attempt to rally back again in the final frame of regulation. Nate Jones laced a RBI double to cut the deficit down to 4-3.

With Jones at second base and two outs, Michael Brown beat out an infield single, but Mihalik threw out Jones at home plate trying to score the tying run to seal the Bullfrog's exciting victory.
