Wausau Woodchucks News Release

Wausau, WIS - Dallas Beaver's opposite field home run with two outs in the top of the ninth lifted the Lakeshore Chinooks to a 5-4 win over the Wisconsin Woodchucks this afternoon at Athletic Park.

A two-out rally in the third gave the Woodchucks a 2-0 lead. Payton Nelson and Brandt Broussard walked, and both came home to score on a double near the left field line by Zach DeLoach.

Three hit batters for Lakeshore all came home to score in the top of the fifth as the Chinooks took a 3-2 lead. The Chucks answered right back in the bottom of the fifth to regain the lead. After Broussard scored on a single by Alex Toral to tie the game, DeLoach came home on a sacrifice fly by Mike Ferri to give the Chucks a 4-3 edge.

Two walks and double in the top of the seventh tied the game at 4-4. The go-ahead run for Lakeshore also tried to score on the double, but the Nelson to Colton Bauer to Dom DeRenzo throw and relay got the runner out at the plate.
