
Pushkarev And Petiot Called To Los Angeles

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled right wing Konstantin Pushkarev and defenseman Richard Petiot from the Monarchs under emergency conditions, Kings President of Hockey Operations/General Manager Dave Taylor announced today.
Pushkarev, 21, has one point (0-1=1) and zero penalty minutes in one game with the Kings this season. The 6-foot, 180-pound native of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan, collected an assist in his Kings/NHL debut at Vancouver on March 27. In addition, the first-year pro has 32 points (18-14=32) and a team-leading 18 goals in 71 games with the Monarchs this season. The Kings selected Pushkarev in the second-round (44th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
Petiot, 23, has zero points and two penalty minutes in two games with the Kings this season. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound native of Daysland, Alberta, made his Kings/NHL debut versus Tampa Bay on January 17. Selected by the Kings in the fourth-round (116th overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Petiot has 13 points (4-9=13) and 52 penalty minutes in 60 games with the Monarchs this season, and he shares the team lead with a plus-14 rating.
The Monarchs will host the Springfield Falcons at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Wednesday, April 5 at 7:05 p.m.
