Bulldogs face three North Division opponents

The Hamilton Bulldogs play three games in three nights this week, one at home and two on the road, all against North Division opponents. The Bulldogs begin the week on Friday by travelling to Syracuse to take on the Crunch (43-22-4-3) at 7:30 p.m. Hamilton then faces the Barons (24-45-2-3) in Cleveland on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. before returning home on Sunday to battle the Manitoba Moose (41-21-7-5) at 4:00 p.m.

Player Notes

- D James Sanford tied the franchise record for most goals in a season by a defenceman when he scored his tenth goal in Hamilton's 3-1 loss to the Chicago Wolves on Friday, March 31. Craig Millar scored 10 goals during the 1997-98 season.

- C Kyle Chipchura played his first professional game on Friday and earned an assist on Sanford's goal.

- LW Duncan Milroy scored on a penalty shot in overtime to give the Bulldogs a 2-1 win over the Manchester Monarchs on Saturday, April 1. It was the first time that a Bulldogs game was decided by a penalty shot in overtime.

- The goal was Milroy's first game-winner of the season and ended a five-game pointless streak.

- G Yann Danis stopped 28 shots to earn the win on Saturday and was named the game's first star. It was Danis' first win in his last five starts.

- D Andre Benoit recorded his first point in eight games when he earned an assist against the Monarchs.

- This game will mark the eighth and final meeting this season.

- Hamilton has a record of 3-3-0-1 against Manitoba this season.

- In the last meeting on March 10, Jaroslav Halak made 33 saves and Maxim Lapierre scored in overtime as the Bulldogs defeated the Moose 2-1.

- Manitoba is in second place in the North Division with 94 points.

- The Bulldogs have an all-time record of 28 wins, 12 losses, one tie, one overtime loss and one shootout loss against the Moose.

- Canadiens LW Garth Murray scored twice and G Cristobal Huet stopped all 32 shots he faced as Montreal defeated the Boston Bruins 2-0. RW Alexander Perezhogin and C Tomas Plekanec earned assists.

- Oilers C Shawn Horcoff scored as Edmonton fell 4-1 to the Calgary Flames.

- Kings G Mathieu Garon stopped all 27 shots he faced as Los Angeles edged the Dallas Stars 1-0.

- Blue Jackets LW Jason Chimera earned an assist in Columbus' 5-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks.
