Promotions Highlight River Cats' Eight-Game Homestand

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif., August 9, 2011 - The River Cats will wear special zebra-striped game jerseys Friday night to kick off their eight-game homestand against the Round Rock Express (Triple-A affiliate of Texas Rangers) from August 12-15 and Albuquerque Isotopes (Triple-A affiliate of Los Angeles Dodgers) from August 16-19. Also during this homestand, the River Cats host Star Wars Night on Saturday, Raley Field Fiesta presented by Miller Lite on Sunday, Oktoberfest and Miller Lite Thirsty Thursday ($2 Miller beers and live music) on August 18 and Hollywood Night on Friday, August 19, to conclude the homestand.

Fans can also take advantage of several recurring promotions during the homestand, including Toyota Family Value Friday ($1 hot dogs and $1 desserts) on August 12 and 19, Sutter Health Postgame Fireworks on August 13, U.S. Bank Sunday Funday (pregame autographs and kids to run the bases postgame) on August 14, Seniors Eats Free presented by Eskaton on August 15, Tuesday Kids Eat Free presented by California Family Fitness on August 16 and Nine Innings at Noon on August 17 (12:05 p.m. start).

Sacramento Zoo Night (Zebra-striped jersey auction) - Friday, August 12, at 7:05 p.m. River Cats players and coaches will wear zebra-striped jerseys during this night's game. The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game to benefit The Sacramento Zoo's Grevy's Zebra exhibit. Each auction winner will receive their autographed zebra-striped jersey from their player or coach after the game, on the field.

Star Wars Night and Sutter Health Postgame Fireworks - Saturday, August 13, at 7:05 p.m. The River Cats have not joined the dark side of the Force, and neither should you. Fans who dress as their favorite character from the Star Wars saga will receive $2 in Cat Cash. Following the game, a Stars Wars Fireworks tribute will take place thanks to Sutter Health. Fans will be able to take pictures with Star Wars characters before the game and various Star Wars promotions will take place throughout the evening.

Raley Field Fiesta presented by Miller Lite - Sunday, August 14 at 1:05 p.m. The River Cats and Miller Lite celebrate Latino heritage with a live mariachi band, Latin dancers, pregame tequila tasting in the Left Field Ballpark Bistro and a doubleheader featuring the Liga Latina de Beisbol All-Star Game.

Hollywood Night: Pregame Michael Jackson Tribute - Friday, August 19 at 7:05 p.m. Fans are given star treatment as River Cats players and celebrities will be on the red carpet taking pictures. Each fan will receive a Star Map that directs them to a section where a celebrity will give out raffle tickets to win movie passes, movie posters, and 2012 Flex Plan for the grand prize. Fans can dress up as Michael Jackson and be eligible for a seat upgrade. Come early and enjoy a "Thriller" dance competition.
