Round Rock Express News Release

ROUND ROCK, Texas - Tuesday at 6:55 p.m. CDT, Tim Crawford walked through the turnstiles as the 7,777,777th fan in the 12-year history of The Dell Diamond. Crawford, 41, is from Round Rock and attended the game with friend Cathy Boehm.

To commemorate the milestone, Round Rock Express Baseball will honor Crawford with a trip to Arlington, Texas, to meet Texas Rangers President/CEO and Baseball Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan. Crawford also received four tickets to a Texas Rangers game with ground transportation and lodging, a No. 7 Express jersey and other prizes.

"My company had tickets for 10 games, and I bought five of the games because I love coming to The Dell Diamond," Crawford said. "I'm super excited to meet Nolan and head up to Arlington."

The Dell Diamond opened in 2000 - the inaugural season of the Round Rock Express. The stadium established Double-A attendance records each season through 2004, after which the Express jumped to the Triple-A Pacific Coast League. The Express have ranked second or third in attendance each season since joining the PCL. Round Rock currently leads the league this season with 8,468 fans per game, nearly 400 per game more than any other team in the league.

"We feel very strongly that we have the best fans in Minor League Baseball," Express General Manager George King said. "Folks from throughout Central Texas have made The Dell Diamond the amazing baseball venue it is over the past 12 years. This was our way of saying thank you to one lucky fan and in doing so honor all Express fans."

Tickets for all Round Rock Express home games are available through The Dell Diamond ticket office at 512.255.2255 or online at www.RoundRockExpress.com.
