Round Rock snapped a 10-game winning streak in Eric Hurley starts, while Tacoma won its sixth straight at The Dell Diamond. Hurley suffered his first loss of the season in seven decisions. The Express led 3-0 before a four-run third gave the Rainiers the lead. Val Majewski put Round Rock back in the lead with a two-run homer in the bottom of the third, but Tacoma again answered in the top of the fourth on Johan Limonta's three-run homer. The Rainiers added what proved to be the game-deciding run in the fifth. The Express plated a pair of runs on two hits and a Tacoma error in the seventh but could not push across the tying run.

ROUND ROCK AMONG TOP PCL TEAMS

The Express (68-49, .581) own the PCL's second-best record behind Sacramento (70-47, .598). Round Rock is three-and-a-half games ahead of Omaha (64-52, .552) in the overall American Conference standings. Seven of 16 PCL teams are above .500, four of which are in the American Conference.

DIVISION STANDINGS UPDATE

Round Rock (68-49, .581) maintained its nine-game lead over Albuquerque (59-58, .504) in the American Southern Division standings despite last nights loss by virtue of the Isotopes falling 9-6 to Salt Lake. The Express are 31-18 since June 18, during which time Albuquerque is 20-29. Round Rock has at least shared the division lead following 95 of 117 games this season and has led the division outright since June 25. New Orleans (57-60, .487) trails Round Rock by 11 games, while Oklahoma City (52-65, .444) is 18 games back.

MAGIC NUMBER: 19

Entering tonight's game, Round Rock's magic number for clinching the PCL American Southern Division title is 19. The magic number represents the number of Express wins or Albuquerque losses necessary to clinch the division title. The earliest Round Rock can clinch the title is Aug. 19 at Fresno.

JONES APPROACHING MILESTONE

Express manager Bobby Jones enters tonight's game with 1,497 career managerial wins - all of which have come in the Texas Rangers organization. His tally includes stints with Class-A Charlotte (1988-1990), Double-A Tulsa (1991-1992, 1996-2000), Triple-A Oklahoma City (1993-1994, 2002-2010) and Round Rock. Jones' most successful season at the Triple-A level was 2004 when he led Oklahoma City to 81 wins and the PCL American Southern Division title. He owns 12 division titles and guided the 1998 Tulsa squad to a Texas League championship.
