Zephyrs Lose in Vegas 12-4

LAS VEGAS, Nevada - Jayson Nix drilled a go ahead home run in the seventh inning for Las Vegas in a 12-4 victory for the 51's over the Zephyrs at Cashman Field. The 51's scored eight unanswered runs in the final two innings.

The Zephyrs trailed 4-1 in the sixth inning when New Orleans rallied for three runs to tie the contest. Nix home run followed by a three run blast from Chris Woodward capped a five run seventh for the 51's.

Bobby Korecky pitched two innings and earned the win in relief for Las Vegas. Dan Jennings allowed four runs and suffered his third loss. The Zephyrs bullpen surrendered 8 runs in three innings pitched.

Jose Lopez drilled a pair of home runs and drove home three runs to lead the Zephyrs.

Game Notes - The Zephyrs have had double-digit hits in 14 of their last 18 road games. Jose Lopez became the first Zephyr this season to homer in three consecutive games. Andy Green was the last to have three consecutive games with a home run in 2008. Chris Aguila homered in four straight in 2008.
