AKRON, OH - The Akron Aeros return to Canal Park on Tuesday, August 16 for a brief three-game homestand against the Harrisburg Senators. The three-game homestand is full of promotions including Animal-Palooza, an appearance by Fox 8's Dick Goddard, the Inaugural Canal Park 1K Mini Beer Run and Midget Wrestling.
Tuesday, August 16 - 7:05 p.m.
. Animal-Palooza, presented by Primary Pet Care of Stow
o Bring your pet to Canal Park! We welcome furry friends of all shapes and sizes. The night's activities will support the Humane Society of Greater Akron.
. Meet Fox 8's Dick Goddard
o Come out to Canal Park for your chance to meet the legendary meteorologist. His new book "Six Inches of Partly Cloudy" will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefitting the Humane Society of Greater Akron. Mr. Goddard will be tossing a ceremonial first pitch and then autographing copies of the book throughout the night.

o The Aeros season-long community outreach program continues. This special Wednesday night event raises funds and awareness for the Akron Rotary Camp for Children with Special Needs.

o Learn to recycle with the Akron Aeros and get educated on the benefits of recycling and going GREEN!

. "Buck Up" Thirsty Thursday, presented by the Ohio Lottery
o $1 Beer & $1 Soft Drinks
. Inaugural Canal Park 1K Mini Beer Run, presented by Miller Lite
o $12 registration includes a game ticket, a Miller Lite t-shirt and three (3) beer tickets. Participants will make their way around the Canal Park warning track (3 laps) prior to the game. Register at www.akronaeros.com. Participants must be 21 years of age and have a valid photo ID. Participant check-in on Thursday begins at 5:30 p.m.
. Midget Wrestling
o Among the matches scheduled, reigning champion "Little Kato" looks to defend his Midget Wrestling Championship in a post-game "winner take all" match.
. Affiliates Night
o Aeros mascot Orbit will be joined by Indians mascot Slider, plus mascots from the Columbus Clippers, Lake County Captains and Mahoning Valley Scrappers for a night of Cleveland Indians affiliate FUN and entertainment throughout Thursday's game.
