Baysox Announce 2012 Home Schedule

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today the 2012 home schedule for the 20th season of Baysox baseball. The team opens the 2012 campaign at Prince George's Stadium, and will play 71 home games over 13 home stands between the season opener Thursday, April 5, and their final home game on Thursday, Aug. 31.
The Baysox most common opponents at home next year are the Harrisburg Senators and the Erie SeaWolves, who both play 11 games in Bowie. The Richmond Flying Squirrels play in Bowie 10 times, the Akron Aeros nine times and the Altoona Curve seven times. For Eastern Division teams, the Reading Phillies come to Bowie for seven games, the New Britain Rock Cats four times, and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Trenton Thunder, New Britain Rock Cats and Portland Sea Dogs each play in Bowie three times.
Standard game times for the Baysox are 7:05 p.m. for games Monday through Friday, 6:35 p.m. on Saturdays, 2:05 p.m. for Sunday home games through June 24, and 6:05 p.m. for Sundays after June 24. Exceptions to those times include: 2:05 p.m. games on Saturday, April 7, and Memorial Day Monday, May 28. The Baysox play 11:05 a.m. games on Wednesday, April 11, Wednesday, April 25, Monday, July 9, and Thursday, Aug. 2. The Baysox also play at 6:05 p.m. on the Fourth of July.
