
Principal "Family Fun Fest" to visit Classic Park

(Eastlake) - The Lake County Captains and the Principal Financial Group have teamed up to bring the Principal "Family Fun Fest" to Classic Park on Thursday, August 11th at 4:00 p.m., prior to the Captains 7:05 game against the Hickory Crawdads.
A midway will be set up outside the main gate with over 20 baseball-themed attractions including an X-box home run derby. The midway opens at 4:00 and is absolutely free. The Captains play Hickory at 7:05, and following the game, fans may stay for a special screening of Shrek 2.
Created and produced by Entertainment & Sports International (ESI), the 4000 square foot Principal Family Fun Fest will be visiting 56 different minor league baseball parks during the 2005 season. It is the most extensive traveling baseball festival in history and features over 20 baseball themed attractions including a minor league baseball museum, the Xbox Home Run Derby video-game trailer, and a fan festival midway with batting and pitching cages, bungee runs, a huge side-by-side giant slide, baseball bounce houses, and lots more interactive fun for baseball fans of all ages.
