Pre-Season Game Caps Off Busy Week

Upcoming week of September 23rd - September 29th:

· Monday, September 30th - The fifth annual Condors Invitational Charity Golf Tournament presented by 1410 AM KERN, Baldwin-Georgenton Insurance Agency, and Chicago Title Company to benefit the Alliance Against Family Violence takes place today at Rio Bravo Country Club. The tournament kicks off at 12:30 pm with a dinner to follow at 6:00 pm.

· Tuesday, October 1st - The Condors Director of Community Relations John Ayre will be speaking at the Petroleum Club of Bakersfield's luncheon about the Condors in the Community from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. The Petroleum Club is located at 3500 Truxtun Avenue.

· Tuesday, October 1st – Cal, the Baby Condor, and staff will be at the grand opening of the Carol Barraza Women's Health Resource Center today at 3:00 pm. The Center is located on the second floor of the Haberfeld Building at 1706 Chester Avenue.

· Thursday, October 3rd - The Bakersfield Condors and Carl's Jr. team up for the Carl's Jr. Care-a-van. For the next five weeks the Condors staff and players will be traveling to select Carl's Jr. locations. This week the Condors will be found at the Carl's Jr. at 5520 Stockdale Highway from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. At each stop by making a donation to Goodwill Industries fans will receive a free terrace level ticket for a select Condors game this season.

· Saturday, October 5th - The Condors will host the Fresno Falcons in a pre-season game at Centennial Garden at 7:00 pm, with the doors opening at 6:00 pm. Tickets for the pre-season game are just $9.00 for lower level and $5.00 for upper level seating. Tickets can be purchased at the Centennial Garden box office, open weekdays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm with extended hours on event days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location.

Week in Review September 23rd - September 29th:

· Sunday, September 29th - The Condors held their annual Open House & Family Day at Centennial Garden from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, presented by KGET-TV 17. More than 1,000 pounds of canned food was collected for the Golden Empire Gleaners, and a total of 13 donors gave pints of blood at the Houchin Blood Bank "Blood Mobile" mobile donation unit located on site.

Condors Droppings:

· Sign-up's are underway for the Junior Condors Hockey League and Adult Hockey League. The JCHL is an instructional league for kids, ages 5 through 13, and will feature guest instruction by members of the Condors team. The Adult Hockey League is open to adults of all ages with games being played from October through March. Call the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825) for more information.
