
IceGators' new site had 1,030 hits Friday, nearly 3,000 in first three days

Lafayette, LA â The Louisiana IceGators new website had 2,908 hits in its first three days, including 1,030 hits on Friday, which was the day it was launched.
In addition, the site had 961 unique visitors on Saturday and 917 on Sunday. Also on Sunday, the site saw more than 61,000 individual clicks once people were on the site. Users from no less than 16 countries, including Australia and Greece, visited the site over the weekend. As of 1 p.m. CST Monday, 279 people had participated in the IceGators' online poll, with 84 percent grading the new site as "Awesome." Another 12 percent called it "Good." Another poll will be created soon.
The new website, accessible at www.icegators.com, was designed and is being hosted by eSports Group, Inc. (www.esportsgroup.com). The company is located in College Station, Texas, with graphics and production teams based in Chicago, Ill. and Houston. The company was developed to devote its full efforts to the sports industry in software development and web design. esports group handles dozens of websites nationally, including the Orlando Predators, a publicly traded company that owns the IceGators.
