
PrairieThunder Clinches Franchise's First Playoff Spot

Veteran Jon Booras scored two goals and added an assist, Brett Holmberg scored the game winning goal and added two assists, and captain Jason Deleurme added a goal as the Bloomington PrairieThunder wrapped up a successful road trip with a 4-1 victory over the Texas Brahmas on Sunday in Richland Hills, Texas. Bloomington went 3-0-1 on the four game trip thar saw the team travel over 2200 miles. With the victory, the Bloomington PrairieThunder has clinched their first playoff birth in the team's five year history. The PThunder improves to 31-16-5 and closes to within two points of second place Colorado. The PrairieThunder currently has the best winning percentage in the CHL's Turner (Northern) Conference at .644.
The victory marked the tenth straight game that Bloomington has picked up at least a point in the standings. During this time period, the PrairieThunder has gone 7-0-3. Bloomington clinched their playoff spot with the victory over the Brahmas coupled with Evansville's 2-1 loss to Quad City on Sunday.

Bloomington returns home to the U.S. Cellular Coliseum this coming Friday, March 4th when the PrairieThunder host the Fort Wayne Komets at 7:05pm.
