Beausoleil Earns Player Of Week Honor

February 28, 2011 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Tulsa Oilers News Release

Clutch goals by Michel Beausoleil not only lifted the Tulsa Oilers to two key weekend victories, it also lifted him into the spotlight as the Oakley/Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the week ending February 27th.

The Oilers moved into sole possession of third place in the CHL ‚¬â„¢s Berry conference and reduced their magic number for clinching a playoff spot to five, by defeating the Mississippi RiverKings twice, 6-5 and 3-2 in overtime.

Beausoleil scored the goal that tied Friday ‚¬â„¢s game at 5-5 and had the overtime goal on Saturday. He also had an assist in each game, giving him four points in the two games. That extended his current scoring streak to six games, in which he has scored five goals and five assists. Beausoleil ranks third on the Oilers scoring chart with 21 goals and 24 assists for 45 points.

He and the rest of the Oilers return to action Tuesday night against the Rapid City Rush at the BOK Center at 7:05.

Tickets for all Oiler games are available at the BOK Box Office, Tickets.com, Tulsa area Reasor ‚¬â„¢s stores, and by calling 1-866-7BOK-CTR (866-725-5287). More information is available by calling the Oilers office at 918-632-PUCK (7825).
