
Power trips up Lexington

(Charleston, WV - The West Virginia Power topped the Lexington Legends 6-1 on Saturday night at Appalachian Power Park. The Power pulled away with three runs in the sixth behind a strong start from Felipe Gonzalez.
The Legends got on the board quickly with a solo blast off the bat of Frank Schwindel. The Power, however, came back to tie the game when Michael Fransoso singled home Francisco Diaz in the third. West Virginia took the lead in the fourth on an Erich Weiss RBI double.
The Power added to their advantage in the sixth with three more runs on from Francisco Diaz and Chris Diaz as well as a Fransoso sacrifice fly
Felipe Gonzalez (2-3) earned the win allowing just one run over six innings with five strikeouts while Alec Mills (1-1) was charged with the loss. Erich Weiss was 2-for-4 with a double, triple and an RBI and Francisco Diaz tallied three hits with an RBI and two runs scored in the Power victory.
