Delmarva Shorebirds News Release

Salisbury, MD - Friday night's game between the Delmarva Shorebirds and the Lakewood BlueClaws has been postponed due to wet grounds at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. The game will be made up at a later date when the Shorebirds visit Lakewood next weekend.

Unplayable field conditions forced the series finale to be postponed between Delmarva and Lakewood. The BlueClaws do not return to Perdue Stadium this season, so the game will be made up at FirstEnergy Park when Delmarva plays at Lakewood from Thursday, August 7th to Sunday, August 10th.

Tickets for Saturday's postponed game can be redeemed for any remaining 2014 Shorebirds regular season home game. For those attending the game with Mountaire Farms, they will be contacted by a representative from Mountaire Farms. For tickets or more information, please contact the Shorebirds' front office at 410-219-3112.

The Shorebirds will start a new series with the Greensboro Grasshoppers on Sunday evening. Left-hander Steven Brault (7-7, 3.29) will start the series opener against Hoppers' right-hander Jose Adames (1-1, 4.24). First pitch is scheduled for 5:05 pm at Perdue Stadium.
