POWER REPLAY: West Virginia lost 9-4 to Delmarva on Sunday afternoon. The Shorebirds scored seven in the first on three hits, four walks, and a hit batter, before adding a pair on a home run in the fifth. The Power tallied a run in the first, two in the seventh, and one in the ninth on a solo home run by Eric Avila. Ryan Hafner allowed the first seven runs and took the loss as West Virginia lost for the third time in four games during the series.

100 DOWN: Sunday's game was the 100th of the season for the Power. West Virginia's .380 winning percentage this year is the lowest at the 100 game mark since the franchise became the Power in 2005. The 2005 club had a 40-60 record (.400) after 100 games. The best mark was set by the 2007 playoff-bound team, which was 63-37 at this point in their season.

15 K: Power pitchers recorded 15 strikeouts on Sunday; the most in any West Virginia game since August 26, 2010. Ryan Hafner struck out one, Zac Fuesser retired eight on strikes to match the season -high by any pitcher, while Rinku Singh and Nathan Kilcrease struck out three apiece.

MOTORIN: The Power open a seven game road swing by starting a four game series in Greensboro tonight with a three game trip to Lakewood to follow. West Virginia is 1-5 this season against the Hoppers with seven games remaining against them. The Power are 8-4 against the BlueClaws in 2012 with a total of seven games left against Lakewood. This trip is the last long road jaunt this season. The longest trip remaining after the next seven days is only four games long (Kannapolis from August 16-19).

GOING TO GREENSBORO: The Power lead the all-time series with the Hoppers 57-43 dating back to 2005, though the Grasshoppers won the 2011 series 10-9 and have taken five of six this year. Despite the struggles against Greensboro this season, West Virginia is still 26-25 all-time at NewBridge Bank Park.

NEW LEADER: For the first time since April 9, someone other than Alen Hanson leads West Virginia in batting average. After the fifth game of the year, Jodaneli Carvajal was batting .421 to Hanson's .364. Since that point, Hanson has had the best average on the team among qualifiers. After the completion of Friday's second game and thanks to a four hit contest, Gregory Polanco leaped over Hanson with a .326 average. Heading into play today, Polanco is hitting .327 to Hanson's .319.

SCORING BREAKDOWN: West Virginia has allowed 101 more than it has scored so far this season. The Power have plated 479 runs this year (4.8 runs per game). The club's best inning for runs had been the fifth (73). Comparatively, West Virginia has allowed 580 runs over 100 games (5.8 per game). Teams have been the most productive against the Power in the third inning (76 runs allowed).

PROMO CHECK- AUGUST 2 & 3: The Power will hold two BIG 12 promotional night's during the next homestand. August 2 is NFL Night featuring an appearance by the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, while August 3 is WVU night featuring appearances by West Virginia University legends including Pat White.
