(Charleston, WV- June 30, 2014) - The West Virginia Power fell to the Lakewood BlueClaws in 15 innings in an 8-7 final on Monday night at Appalachian Power Park. Andrew Knapp blasted a solo home run to give Lakewood the victory in the 15th inning.

West Virginia got on the board with one in the second on a Chris Diaz RBI double. The Power would blow the game wide open in the third with six runs. Harold Ramirez, Reese McGuire and Edwin Espinal tallied back-to-back-to-back RBI singles to highlight the inning along with an Ashley Ponce two-RBI base knock.

Lakewood responded with one in the fifth, two in the sixth and then three in the eighth on a Zach Green two-run blast and a pair of RBI doubles off the bat of Willians Astudillo. The 'Claws tied the game in the ninth when a wild throw plated a run.

The BlueClaws finally broke the tie in the 15th to end the longest game of the season for West Virginia on a solo blast from Andrew Knapp.

Power reliever Adam Landecker (0-1) was charged with the loss as Lakewood hurler Scott Harris (1-0) earned the win. Harold Ramirez extended his league-best hitting streak to 22 games in the win. It is now tied for the longest in Power history with Starling Marte and the longest in the South Atlantic League in 2014 with Pat Valaika (Asheville).
