
Pittsburgh Penguins Assign 7 Players to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins have reduced their training camp roster by assigning seven players to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The announcement was made today by Penguins' General Manager Craig Patrick.
Following are the seven players that have been assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton: forwards Shane Endicott, Matt Hussey, Guillaume Lefebvre, Toby Petersen, Michal Sivek, Tomas Surovy and defenseman Brendan Buckley.
With the roster moves, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins now have 34 players (22-forwards, nine-defenseman and three goaltenders) in camp. An updated training camp roster will follow this release (ATTACHMENT).
The Penguins open their four-game preseason schedule on Saturday as they host the Syracuse Crunch at 7:05 PM at Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza. There are approximately 850 tickets still available for the game.
Individual game tickets for the Penguins' 2003-04 season are now on sale and can be purchased at the Wachovia Arena Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations and telephone outlets.

The Penguins open the regular season on Wednesday, October 8 against the Norfolk Admirals at 7:05 p.m. at Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza.
