Rochester Americans Hit the Ice Thursday Morning

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans will hold their first training camp practice session at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 25th at the ESL Sports Centre on the campus of Monroe Community College. Tonight the players will report for physicals at 6:00 p.m. at ESL.

The Amerks will also skate at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The following night the team will hold a night scrimmage. The Blue-White Scrimmage on Saturday, September 27th is scheduled from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the ESL Sports Centre. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and the game is free and open to the public.

On Saturday, October 4th, Rochester hosts the Cleveland Barons in a free American Hockey League home preseason exhibition game at 7:00 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial. All general admission seats for the contest are free of charge. Fans can pick up tickets at the Amerks Office in The Blue Cross Arena, ESL Sports Centre, Locker Room Sports, and at the Customer Service Center at the Mall at Greece Ridge Center.

The Rochester Americans will open their 48th season of play in the American Hockey League at The Blue Cross Arena on Friday, October 10th at 7:35 p.m. against the defending Eastern Conference champion Hamilton Bulldogs.
