Charlie Stephens Assigned to Hershey

HERSHEY – The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the Colorado Avalanche that center Charlie Stephens has been assigned to the BEARS from Colorado's training camp in Denver. With the addition of Stephens, HERSHEY'S training camp roster stands at 19.

An AHL All-Star last season in his rookie year, Stephens also made his NHL debut in 2002-03 with Colorado. He played in two games for the Avalanche, making his debut in Denver on December 27, 2002 against the Philadelphia Flyers.

HERSHEY will open training camp for the club's 66th AHL season on Monday, September 29. Tickets for both home exhibition games on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5 will be $7. As in previous years, all parking will be free for both the Saturday game against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Sunday's game with Binghamton.

The BEARS open up the home portion of the 2003-04 season on Saturday, October 18th at GIANT Center. Season ticket information is available by calling 520-5796. Several different season ticket plans are available. Group ticket information for the October 18th home opener and all Bears home games is available by calling 534-3323. Ticket information is also available for the NHL exhibition game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the New York Islanders on Thursday, October 2nd at GIANT Center.
