Norfolk Announces Home Opener Promotions

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. â The Norfolk Admirals are pleased to announce their promotional schedule for their home opener of the 2003-04 season. In back-to-back games on Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m. against the Albany River Rats (New Jersey Devils) at Norfolk Scope, the Admirals will feature the following events:
Friday, October 17 - Magnetic schedule giveaway to the first 3,000 fans, courtesy of Applebee's. The Blue and Gold also will raise their 2002-03 South Division Championship banner before the puck drops.
Saturday, October 18 - Tailgate party on Scope's plaza, including food and drink, live radio remotes, face painting for children and more. Also, John Brophy Night. The former Hampton Roads Admirals head coach will be honored in a ceremony that evening. The first 5,000 fans will receive a commemorative John Brophy bobblehead, courtesy of TradeStaff & Company.
