Matej Paulovic tied Matheson Iacopelli for the franchise all-time record in points at 101, with two assists on the evening, and seven other Muskegon Lumberjacks record one point in the 5-4 victory over the Sioux City Musketeers.
The Musketeers forward Phil Knies opened the scoring five minutes into the game, after capitalizing on a Lumberjacks turnover. However, Pitlick responded with back-to-back goals to close out the first period. The USHL leading scorer bashed home a rebound to level the game at one. Logan Drevitch and Collin Adams registered the assists on the goal. Ten Minutes later, Pitlick gave the Lumberjacks their first lead of the night. Paulovic played the puck to Pitlick in the slot, and the University of Minnesota commit rifled home a wrist shot for his 65th point of the season. With the goal, Pitlick set a new Muskegon Lumberjacks franchise single season scoring record, surpassing Griffen Molino (2014-2015) and Matheson Iacopelli (2013-2014). With the assist, Paulovic recorded his 100th career point in a Lumberjacks uniform.
Muskegon would double their lead thirty seconds into the second period, when Lucas Michaud redirected a Charlie Gerard pass into the back of the net. Tyler Irvine picked up the secondary assist on the goal. The Musketeers would respond six minutes later when Teemu Pulkkinen scored a powerplay goal to cut the Lumberjacks lead to one. However, Muskegon would finish the second period with two goals from two defensemen to take a 5-2 lead into the second intermission. Grant Gabriele wristed home his 9th goal of the season. Adams recorded his second point of the game while Paulovic added the 101st point of his career, to tie Iacopelli for the all-time franchise record in points.
