Pigs Begin Series with Pawtucket

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will begin a three-game set with the Pawtucket Red Sox on Tuesday night at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. The IronPigs enter play at 36-50 after taking two of three at Rochester over the weekend while Pawtucket sits at 38-48 after getting swept by Syracuse in a three-game set. In fact, the PawSox have dropped eight in a row overall.

RHP David Buchanan (2-0, 2.53) gets the ball for the Pigs on Tuesday. The right-hander got the win on Thursday vs. Rochester when he gave up one run on seven hits to go along with three walks and four strikeouts in 6.1 IP. In 4 GS with Lehigh Valley, opponents have hit just .147 (5-34) against Buchanan.

RHP Jess Todd (3-2, 5.14) will be on the bump for Pawtucket. Todd's last outing came in relief on Saturday at Syracuse when he gave up two runs on two hits while fanning one in an inning of work. His last start was back on June 21 at Gwinnett when he allowed two runs on three hits over six innings of work in a no-decision.
