YOUNGSTOWN, OH- The Youngstown Phantoms were held off the scoreboard Friday night by the USANTDP U-18 team, falling by a final score of 3-0. Youngstown was outshot 41-20.

"The shot totals told the score of the game. They were better from the drop of the puck until the final buzzer," said Phantoms Head Coach John Wroblewski.

USA scored its first goal a little over eight minutes into the first period, when Clayton Keller found Luke Martin just outside of the right wing circle. Martin's wrist shot beat Phantoms goalie Colin DeAugustine glove side.

Wroblewski made the decision to pull DeAugustine in favor of Ryan Bednard late in the second period, but said it had nothing to do with DeAugustine's performance.

"It felt like he played about two games already back there with the quality of saves he had to make and how much work he was getting. I feel terrible for how we played in front of Colin," Wroblewski said.

USA would add two second period goals to claim the 3-0 victory, including a power play tally by Clayton Keller.

Youngstown falls to 0-2 against the USANTDP U-18 team on the season, after dropping the home opener to USA back on September 26th.

Youngstown will continue its five game road trip tomorrow night in Chicago, for the first of back to back matchups with the Steel. Puck drop is set for 7p.m. local time, 8p.m. Eastern.
