Petes Shut out Frontenacs to Win Season Series

(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes shut out the Kingston Frontenacs on Thursday night, winning 7-0 over the division rivals to take the season series by a record of 7-1-0-0.

Max Grondin (12), Liam Kirk (22), Declan Chisholm (5), Nick Robertson (24), Chris Paquette (28), Cameron Butler (17), and John Parker-Jones (2) all scored for the Petes.

Kirk, Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, and Ryan Merkley recorded two assists each while Chisholm, Cole Fraser, Erik ?ermák, and Adam Timleck registered single helpers.

Goaltender Hunter Jones stopped all 24 Kingston shots to earn his third career shutout.

The Petes were 2/3 on the power play and 4/4 on the penalty kill.

The Petes are on the road the rest of the weekend, visiting the Barrie Colts on Saturday, March 9 at 7:30pm and the North Bay Battalion on Sunday, March 10 at 2:00pm. They'll return to home ice to host the Ottawa 67's on Thursday, March 14 at 7:05pm before playing their last regular season home game on Saturday, March 16 at 7:05pm against the Sudbury Wolves.
