GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas -- Shreveport-Bossier Captains catcher Brian Peterson stunned Grand Prairie AirHogs closer Jon Hunton, the AirHogs and the crowd of 1,242 at QuikTrip Park on Wednesday, hitting a two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give the Captains a come-from-behind 4-3 win.

Peterson's homer was the first blown save for Hunton (4-1), coming after an Uriak Marquez bunt single to open the inning and a sacrifice bunt by Joe Urtuzuastegui. The Captains catcher's drive to left hooked high and around the foul pole, and was upheld after a brief discussion among the three umpires.

Shreveport-Bossier closer Dan Griffin picked up his fourth save in four tries against Grand Prairie (30-15), pitching a 1-2-3 ninth with two groundouts and a strikeout, getting his 14th save of the year.

The AirHogs took the lead in the bottom of the eighth, getting an unearned run on an error, stolen base, wild pitch and sacrifice fly by Cesar Nicolas off Lee Henry (3-0).

After going ahead 2-0 with single runs in the second and third, Grand Prairie lost the lead when the Captains (24-20) scored two runs in the fifth. Joe Urtuzuastegui led off with a solo home run to left, and a double by Peterson and a triple by Mike Provencher tied the game against John Brownell.

Both Brownell and Captains starter Osvaldo Rodriguez pitched seven innings, allowing two runs, but neither factored in the decision.
