Peters Nets 30-Save Shutout in 3-0 Everblades Victory

The Colorado Eagles fell to the Florida Everblades 3-0 Wednesday night at the Budweiser Events Center. Everblades goaltender Anthony Peters made 30 saves in net for Florida in the win.

The Eagles and Everblades got off to a slow start offensively, going a period-and-a-half before either team put points on the bored, as goaltending stole the show.

Florida broke the stalemate at the 8:35 mark of the second when Florida forward Jon DiSalvatore scored from in front of the net to give the Everblades a 1-0 lead.

The Everblades took a 2-0 lead on a wrist shot off the stick of Matt Willows. Willows broke free in the circle and skated in front of the net to score at the 9:26 mark of the third period.

Colorado pulled goaltender Kris Lazaruk in favor of an extra skater, but the Eagles were unable to score. Florida's Corey Syvret scored on the empty net from the opposite zone, giving the Everblades a 3-0 lead at the 18:51 mark of the third period.

Colorado and Florida meet again in the second game of a three game series on Friday at 7:05 PM.
