Perfetti, Lennox Named to Canada's National Junior Team Summer Development Program Roster

Saginaw, MI - Hockey Canada announced Wednesday (July 21) the 51 players that have been invited to attend Canada's National Junior Team summer development camp, July 28-Aug. 4 at the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex on the Tsuut'ina National near Calgary.

Included in this list of Canada's best are Spirit forward Cole Perfetti and goaltender Tristan Lennox.

Perfetti is one of five returning players from the 2021 Canadian World Junior Team that won a silver medal.

The 2020 first round pick of the Winnipeg Jets led the Spirit in scoring during the 2019-20 OHL season with 111 points (37 goals-74 assists). He became the first Spirit player since Jack Combs in 2007-08 to score 100 points in a season.

During of the 2020-21 COVID stoppage, Perfetti played for the Manitoba Moose, AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets. The Whitby, Ontario native finished second on the team in scoring with 26 points (9 goals-17 assists) in 32 games.

Tristan Lennox returns for his second invitation to Canada's National Junior Team summer development camp.

The Cambridge, Ontario native is ranked No. 3 among North American Goalies heading into the 2021 NHL Draft that runs from July 23-24.

Lennox put up career-highs in games played (33) and wins (20) during the 2019-20 season, backstopping the Spirit to their second consecutive West Division Championship.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound netminder starred for Team Canada during the 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. He posted a 3-0 record, with a 0.95 goals against average and a .951 save percentage.

Lennox plays in honor of his late grandfather, Richard Wall, who passed away from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in May of 2020. He, along with his parents Jeoff and Kim developed "Lenny's House" a charitable organization designed to raise funds for ALS research and helps victims and families impacted by the disease.
