Colts Sign Beau Akey

Barrie Colts News Release
The Barrie Colts announced today that they have signed their 2021 first round draft pick, Beau Akey.
"I'm excited to get back to playing hockey and can't think of a better place to do that than with the Colts. I'm looking forward to getting my future started in Barrie", said Beau Akey.
"Beau is an outstanding young man and will be a great addition to The Colts. Beau is a smooth skating high IQ defenceman that our fans are going to enjoy watching", said Marty Williamson, Acting GM and Director of Hockey Operations for the Barrie Colts.
"We are thrilled that we were able to get Beau in the first round of the 2021 OHL Priority Selection. He's a very skilled offensive D with great leadership skills and is an important addition to the team", said Assistant GM, Rob Stewart.
"The entire Barrie Colts organization welcomes Beau and his family to our team. The 2021-22 season will be an exciting one. Not only are we thrilled at being able to play again, we will be putting a very good team on the ice that will be giving fans a great show to come back to", said Colts President Howie Campbell.
