LAST WEEK'S RESULTS
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29: Penguins 5, ADMIRALS 2...
Cory Conacher scored two power play goals to break a 2-2 tie and help Norfolk pull away for a 5-2 over Wilkes- Barre/Scranton at the Norfolk Scope.
Niko Dimitrakos broke the scoreless tie at 15:36 of the first, marking only the second time this season that the Penguins have lost in regulation when scoring first (10-2-1-1).
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, which also received a goal from Ben Street, went 1-for-6 on the power play and 5-for-7 on the penalty kill. Scott Munroe took his second loss of the season, stopping 26-of-30 shots.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2: PENGUINS 4, Pirates 1...
The Penguins rattled off four unanswered goals, including two on the man-advantage, to defeat the Pirates, 4-1, at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. Defensemen Alex Grant and Alexandre Picard each registered two assists, while blueliner Joey Mormina provided the game-winner on the power play late in the first period. Brad Thiessen turned aside 19 shots for his tenth win of the year.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3: Penguins 2, CRUNCH 5...
Syracuse received goals from five different players and never trailed in a 5-2 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at the Onondaga County War Memorial at Oncenter.
Kyle Palmieri's goal with 20.4 seconds left in the second period stood up as the eventual game-winning tally. Geoff Walker picked up his fifth goal of the season, while Brian Gibbons ended a five-game scoring drought with his sixth of the year.
ICE CHIPS...
Jason Williams continues to chip in points on a consistent basis, now appearing on the stat sheet in nine of the last 11 games for a total of 11 points (1g-10a)...The Penguins' 4-1 win over the Pirates on Friday was their first home victory since November 15 against Binghamton...Friday's contest also marked the first time Wilkes- Barre/Scranton went perfect on the penalty kill since a 7-for-7 effort on Nov. 15...Nick Petersen is tied for third among rookies with a +9 plus/minus rating....The Penguins are outscoring opponents 30-17 in the second period - the second best goal differential in the AHL behind Charlotte.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 7, 7:05 PM: Penguins at SENATORS
The Penguins and Senators reach the halfway point of their 10-game season series with their third visit of the year to Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has won three straight versus Binghamton to raise their all-time record in the head-to-head series to 40-27-4-3-2.
Binghamton's win on Sunday over the Connecticut Whale was its fourth in the last seven games and pulled the Senators out of the last spot in the Eastern Conference. The Senators remain in fifth place in the East Division at 9- 13-1-1. Forward Andres Petersson has tallied points in eight of his last nine games for a total of five goals and four assists.
SATURDAY, December 10, 7:00PM: Penguins at BEARS...
The 2011-12 season series between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Hershey also reaches its midway point with game six of 12 this year. The Bears (12-6-3-2) wrapped a perfect three-game, three-day weekend to lift themselves into a tie for first place in the East Division with the Penguins and Admirals.
Teammates Keith Aucoin (6g-30a) and Chris Bourque (11g-21a) rank first and second in league scoring with 36 and 33 points, respectively. Aucoin has recorded points in five straight games for a total of 12 on two goals and ten assists. Bourque is on an AHL-season best 11-game point streak, compiling five goals and 12 assists.
Hershey ended a three-game skid against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton with a 3-2 shootout win on November 25. The Penguins are 62-53-4-6-5 all-time against the Bears.
CHILLIN' WITH THE PENGUINS...
Fans will get an up close and personal look at the Penguins on TV, as CHILLIN' WITH THE PENGUINS hits the airwaves this season. The half hour show will feature Penguins broadcasters Tom Grace and Mike O'Brien chatting with Pens players, and will allow fans to ask questions directly to their favorite Penguins with an interactive Q&A session in each episode.
The show will feature two Penguins players or coaches each week, and will be taped in front of a live audience inside the Ice Rink at Coal Street Park (40 Coal Street in Wilkes-Barre). Ten shows will be taped this season, and aired at 6:30pm as a lead in to Penguins home games being broadcast on MyNetwork TV.
The next taping will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday, December 15. Admission to each taping is free and open to any Penguins fans in the area.

13 th ANNUAL TEDDY BEAR TOSS...
The Penguins are asking fans to bring an unwrapped new plush toy out to Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza for the 13 th Annual Teddy Bear Toss. There is just one game left to help the Tobyhanna Army! Come on down on Saturday, December 17 when the Penguins take on the Norfolk Admirals and bring your teddy bears!
During the first intermission, fans can toss their stuffed toys onto the ice, where they will be collected by members of the Tobyhanna Army Depot and later distributed to less fortunate children throughout the area as part of "Operation Santa Claus." Over 14,000 teddy bears have been collected during the 12-year history of the event.
