Oilers Return Ryan O'Marra to the Barons

Oklahoma City - The Edmonton Oilers returned forward Ryan O'Marra to the Oklahoma City Barons, Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today.

O'Marra, a 6-2, 220-pounder from Mississagua, Ontario played in three games for the Oilers on this call up. In all, he has appeared in 27 NHL games, all with Edmonton, scoring seven points (1-6-7). With the Barons this season, he has played in 20 games, recording eight points (4-4-8) and serving 40 penalty minutes. He was originally a 1st round draft choice (15th overall) of the New York Islanders in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

The Barons return home to host the Peoria Rivermen Friday at 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center. It's the Barons annual Teddy Bear Toss night. Fans are asked to bring new or gently loved stuffed animals to the game and when the Barons score their first goal of the game, they are asked to throw them toward the ice. The stuffed animals will be collected and donated to EMSA who uses the stuffed animals to break the ice with children who have been involved in traumatic incidents. Tickets start at $10 and are available at all Ticketmaster outlets including the Cox Convention Center box office.
