Penguins Assign Petersen to W-B/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - Forward Nick Petersen has been reassigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins from the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL by the Pittsburgh Penguins, it was announced today.

Assigned to Wheeling on January 25, Petersen tallied four goals and five assists for a total of nine points in seven games. The second-year pro has appeared in 28 contests this season for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, compiling six goals and six assists.

Last year during his rookie season, the Wakefield, Quebec native led the Nailers in assists (33) and points (57) and was tied for the team lead in goals (24). He also registered 14 points (5g-9a) in 23 games with the Penguins.
