FALCONS TO HOST 24 HOURS OF HOCKEY

--Event Will Be Held At The Original Home Of Springfield Hockey--

The Springfield Falcons continue to prepare for a special event called "24 Hours of Hockey" presented by Big Y World Class Markets starting at 2 pm on Saturday, February 11 and concluding at 2 pm on Sunday, February 12. This marathon of hockey will be held on an outdoor rink constructed on the grounds of the Eastern States Exposition located in West Springfield, MA.

"Much like the annual Hockey Day in Canada, the event is designed to promote the game of ice hockey in Western Massachusetts," said Falcons Director of Strategic Sales Don Moorhouse. "This event will also showcase the history of hockey in our area. By holding the event behind the Coliseum, '24-Hours of Hockey' hopes to pay tribute to the cultural and historical significance of hockey in West Springfield and the region while also introducing the sport to new fans."
