Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

HAMILTON, ON - Ryan White scored twice in his Hamilton Bulldogs homecoming but it wasn't enough to stop the San Antonio Rampage in Hamilton's second School Day Game of the season at Copps Coliseum.

The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead 4:55 into the first period when White's shot from the boards trickled through San Antonio goaltender Dov Grumet-Morris' five-hole. This was White's first game since the 2010-2011 season as he was diagnosed with a sports hernia during the Montreal Canadiens' training camp this fall. White made it 2-0 'Dogs on his second goal of the game and of the season just 5:42 later, this time on a centering pass from Olivier Fortier. Scott Timmins beat Bulldogs netminder Robert Mayer on the far side following a slot pass from Greg Rallo to put San Antonio on the scoreboard with 5:55 remaining in the first period.

At 10:44 into the second period, San Antonio tied the game at 2 on the power play when Mark Cullen snuck the puck past Mayer after an odd bounce behind the net. The Rampage took a 3-2 lead when Evan Barlow capitalized on a nice series of passes from Bill Thomas and Jon Matsumoto with less than 3 minutes left to play in the second period.

San Antonio would add to its lead on a breakout play following a series of 'Dogs chances at the other end. Thomas went high with Kearns' tape-to-tape pass to make it a 4-2 Rampage final. Hamilton registered a total of 40 shots on goal while San Antonio clocked in at 29.

The Bulldogs will host the Albany Devils on Friday, February 10th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum before travelling to Toronto to take on the Marlies on Saturday, February 11th, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum.
