P-Bruins Point Streak Snapped at Seven Games

St. John's, Newfoundland - The Providence Bruins fell to the St. John's IceCaps 2-0 Tuesday evening at the Mile One Centre, snapping a seven game point streak. The P-Bruins return to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday at 7:05 p.m. against the Portland Pirates for Sport Bottle Night.
After a scoreless opening period, St. John's took a 1-0 lead at the 11:32 mark of the second period. Paul Postma tallied his tenth goal of the season, while Riley Holzapfel and Eric O'Dell recorded the assists. The IceCaps led 1-0 going into the first intermission.
The IceCaps made it 2-0 at the 6:40 mark of the second period. Travis Ramsey netted his third goal of the season, while John Negrin and Shawn Weller picked up the assists. The IceCaps held on for the 2-0 victory.
Anton Khudobin stopped 28 of 30 shots for the P-Bruins, while Edward Pasquale made 29 saves for the IceCaps. The P-Bruins were 0-for-4 on the power play and 1-for-1 on the penalty kill.
The P-Bruins return to The Dunk Friday for Sport Bottle Night presented by Elite Auto Repair and Merchant Card Services at 7:05 p.m. against the Pirates.
