The Pawtucket bats continue to stay hot on the road in 2016.

Coming in to Sunday's action batting .321 away from McCoy Stadium, the PawSox scored four times in the top of the ninth at Coca-Cola to complete the weekend mini-sweep over the Bisons with a 7-4 victory.

Leadoff hitter Deven Marrero reached base five times while punching in two RBI. Rusney Castillo, batting right behind Marrero in the Pawtucket lineup, made it aboard the bags four times of his own, using two singles, a walk, and a hit-by-pitch to do so.

David Aardsma came on in the ninth looking for a league-leading fourth save but Blake Swihart, fresh off of yesterday's activation to Pawtucket, greeted him with a double just inside the third-base line. Sam Travis muscled a ball just over the head of shortstop Andy Burns for a single which was followed up by a Justin Maxwell walk to load the bases.

Aardsma was charged with his first blown save of the season on a Chris Marrero sac fly. The closer was assessed the loss three batters later on Sean Coyle's bases-loaded, two-run single to center.

"I thought David tried a little bit too much to not give up any runs, instead of giving up just one," said manager Gary Allenson of his veteran reliever.

"It just kind of snowballed there."

Buffalo's offense was better than it had been for the past week. For the first time in six games, the Herd pushed more than three runners across home plate.

Just a day after receiving his Gold Glove award for his outstanding defensive work in 2015, Matt Dominguez showed his new fans in Buffalo what he can do on offense. The 26-year-old clubbed his first homerun as a Bison in the eighth. The two-run shot disappeared over the white 371 painted of the left-center field wall to put the Herd ahead 4-3.

Wesley Wright came on in the final frame and pitched a three-up, three-down bottom of the ninth for his first save.

BISONS NOTES:

The last time the Bisons allowed four stolen bases in a game was August 8, 2015 in Gwinnett...Pawtucket now has a six-game win streak going at Coca-Cola field...Ben Rowen's appearance in the top of the sixth inning was his league-leading sixth...Buffalo begins a seven-game road trip with Drew Hutchison taking the mound for a 6:35 pm start in Scranton.
