
Patton selected for Futures Game

LEXIGNTON, KY. - The rosters for the 2005 Futures Game were announced on Wednesday and Lexington pitcher Troy Patton was among the players selected. Patton has compiled a 5-1 record and a 1.45 ERA in fourteen starts for the Legends.
"I'm honored to be selected for the Futures Game," Patton said. It's really exciting to participate in such prestigious event, it's something that I certainly didn't expect."
The Futures Game features the top minor league players competing in a United States versus World format. The contest will be played on July 10 at Detroit's Comerica Field. The game will be televised by ESPN2 at 4 p.m.
Former Legend Fernando Nieve was also selected and will participate representing the World team. Hall of Famer George Brett will manage the United States while Guillermo Hernandez will lead the World team.
