(GREENSBORO, NC) The South Atlantic League announced today that right-handed pitcher Craig Molldrem has been selected to represent Greensboro in the 2005 All-Star game in Augusta, GA.

Molldrem is replacing Tony Sipp of the Lake County Captains who was promoted to the Kinston Indians by the Cleveland Indians.

This season Molldrem has pitched in 16 games for the Grasshoppers. He is 6-1 with a 2.83 ERA. He has allowed 47 hits and 26 runs (20 earned) while striking out 47 batters. Molldrem was selected by Florida in the eighth round of the 2004 First Year Player Draft.

Grasshoppers teammates accompanying Molldrem to Augusta on June 27 are outfielder Brett Carroll and closer Chris Mobley. Carroll was originally selected for the All-Star team as a utility outfielder. However, do to an injury suffered by Lexington's Hunter Pence, Carroll has taken the centerfielder's starting role.

Carroll is hitting .268 with 60 hits, 14 homeruns and 30 RBI. Mobley is 0-3-18, earning his eighteenth save of the year in yesterday's game. He has a 2.51 ERA and has struck out 40 batters in 32.1 innings pitched.

Carroll and Mobley both attended Middle Tennessee State before being drafted by Florida in the 10th round and 22nd round respectively.

The All-Star game is scheduled for Tuesday, June 28 at 7:35 PM.
