LEXINGTON, KY. - The Houston Astros announced the promotion of pitcher Andrew Alvarado to Lexington. Houston reassigned pitcher Ryan McKeller to Tri-City of the NY/P League.
Alvarado comes to Lexington from Tri-City. The righthander was 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA in one appearance in 2005. Alvarado was 4-3 with a 3.58 ERA in 2004 for Tri-City. Alvarado will wear jersey number 23. Bios and career stats are included for Alvarado.
Ryan McKeller was 4-4 with a 4.99 ERA in twelve appearances.
