The Lowdown

This will be the fourth time this season that the Wheat Kings and Pats will meet this season. The last time was just a week ago yesterday in a 4-1 Regina win over the Wheatties at the Brandt Centre. Chandler Stephenson scored his first two WHL goals while Damien Ketlo stopped 32 shots in the win. This is the FINAL time before early December that the Pats will play at home. They will make room for Agribition and go out onto their bi-annual trip through the BC division that begins Friday night in Vancouver and Saturday in Chilliwack.

Wheat-a-bits:

Brandon's only loss over the past five games was the loss to the Regina Pats, but their 4 other wins have come at the friendly confines of Westman Group Place in Brandon. Tonight will also be the second time that former Pats Hampus Gustafsson and Dominick Favreau will return to the Brandt Centre.

Who's who:

Brandon Regina

RW - Mark Stone - The 18 year old 6th round draft pick of the Ottawa Senators is tops in Wheat King scoring with 28 points.

C - Scott Glennie - The 2009 1st round pick of the Dallas Stars lead the Wheat Kings in assists with 19

G - Liam Liston - The 17 year old rookie has played 15 games and is 2nd in the WHL in GAA with a 2.85 average.

C - Chandler Stephenson - The 16 year old rookie centre is on a 4 game point streak (3g 3a)

D - Brandon Davidson - The Oiler draft pick is on a 5 game assist and point streak (2g 7a)

RW - Thomas Frazee - the 20 year old Pat forward is now 2nd on the Pats in scoring and is on a 5 game point and assist streak (1g 7a)

Scoreboard Wathcing:

Even with the back to back regulation losses, the Pats are still in the hunt in the race for the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. The Pats trail the Wheat Kings by 6 points in the Eastern Conference standings as well as have a game at hand on Brandon, so a win tonight would be big for the Pats. A win would also vault them over the idle PA Raiders and Edmonton Oil Kings as well as put the Pats 5 points behind the Warriors for 3rd in the East Division.
