Pats Get Past Hitmen 5-2

Playing their second game in as many nights the Calgary Hitmen dropped a 5-2 decision to the Pats in Regina on Saturday at the Brandt Centre.

The Hitmen outshot the home side 40-35 but Pats goaltender Drew Sim made 38 saves, including 19 during a third period push by the visitors, to secure

the win.

Captain Riley Fiddler-Schultz netted both goals for Calgary to give him a team leading 16 on the season. His second of game pulled the Hitmen to

within one with just under three minutes remaining before Regina counted a pair of goals into the empty net.

Tanner Howe, Alexander Suzdalev, Tanner Brown, Riley Ginnell and Layton Feist did the Regina scoring for a Pats team that moves two points ahead of

the Hitmen for sixth in the Eastern Conference.

Calgary, 14-9-3-1, will now get set to wrap up a three-game weekend tomorrow, Sunday, Dec. 11 in Brandon against the Wheat Kings. Game time is 3:00

p.m. MT. The Hitmen will then head to Lethbridge the following weekend on Saturday, Dec. 17 before returning home to host Edmonton in their final game before the Christmas break on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 2:00 p.m. in Scotiabank Saddledome.
