
Patriots Sign Former Yankee Brandon Knight

Bridgewater, NJ - The Three-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Brandon Knight.
Knight has Major League experience with the New York Yankees, where he pitched in seven games during the 2002 season.
Knight also has five seasons of Triple-A experience in the Texas Rangers and Yankees organizations.
Knight spent the 2006 season at the Double-A level for the Pittsburgh Pirates at Altoona, where he had a 2.25 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 64 innings in 51 games pitched.
He has a minor league career ERA of 4.42 with 1,078 strikeouts in 1,210 innings over 265 games pitched.
Knight has been activated for Thursday's game against the Road Warriors at Commerce Bank Ballpark.
In other team news, the Patriots have released left-handed pitcher Phil Norton.
