Reading Royals News Release

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Patrik Hersley has been recalled to Manchester. Hersley was assigned to the Royals last Friday and played four games during this stint in Reading. He registered an assist in the last three of those games, a streak which included picking up a helper on the overtime game winner scored by Dany Roussin in Wednesday's (02/20/08) 3-2 win over the Elmira Jackals. In twenty games with Reading this year, Hersley has scored three goals and assisted on fifteen others (eighteen points)-seventeen of his points with the Royals have come in his last fifteen games with the team. He has registered four assists in twenty-four AHL games with the Monarchs this year.

The Royals return to action on Friday night (February 22; 7:05 pm), when the Trenton Devils visit the Sovereign Center. That night, the first 1500 fans 21 years of age and older will receive an 'R-Team/R-Town' pub glass courtesy of All Star Distributing. The game night broadcast on Friday will begin at 6:35 pm with the pre-game warm-up show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Ephrata, as well as on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. Streaming video is available on a pay per view basis through the B2 Networks.
