Texas Wildcatters News Release

(Beaumont, Texas) - February 20, 2007 - Breast cancer is a devastating disease that has touched the lives of many Southeast Texans, and the Texas Wildcatters are no exception with teammates and staff members suffering the loss of a mother, spouse, or sister. As a way to increase breast cancer awareness in our community and honor survivors of the disease, the team will host "Pink in the Rink," a personalized pink signature hockey game and fundraiser benefiting the Julie Rogers "Gift of Life" Program, on Saturday, February 23 at 7:05 p.m. at Ford Arena.

"Many of the players and staff with the Wildcatters have family and friends who have experienced

the painful journey of battling breast cancer, and we want to do our part in the fight against this disease," said Pat Dunn, Vice President of Sales for the Texas Wildcatters. "We have been inspired by the 'Gift of Life's tremendous efforts that provide free mammograms to medically underserved individuals along with their regional educational outreach which highlights the importance of early cancer detection."

The Wildcatters will face off against the Columbia Inferno, but they will not wear their normal game attire. The team's uniforms will be transformed into an "ice capades" of pink with all players' jerseys, hockey sticks, goaltender Jeff Pietrasiak's mask and Ford Arena's ice brightly colored in pink. A post-game auction for the pink items used during the game will take place at center rink with proceeds benefiting the "Gift of Life."

Joe Domino, President and Chief Executive Officer of Entergy Texas, and his wife Linda, "Gift of Life" Vice President and board member, and Todd Monette, Motiva Enterprises Port Arthur Refinery General Manager, along with Wildcatters Booster Club member Diana Lege, who is currently undergoing breast cancer treatment, will kick-off the game with a ceremonial puck drop.

Additional awareness activities include local breast cancer survivors sharing their stories of courage and hope augmented by personal video testimonies, "Saving Lives," that will be shown during intermission.
