Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release

PENSACOLA, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots have announced that the club has obtained forward Matt Rogers from the Trenton Devils in exchange for future considerations.

Rogers played in 29 games with the Devils this season, registering 12 points (6g-6a) with 16 PIM. The 25 year old scored a goal and an assist in two games against the Ice Pilots this year. His goal came on a penalty shot attempt at the Hangar on January 2, 2008.

"Matt is a young kid with good speed," said Ice Pilots Head Coach John Marks. "I liked him when he played against us and look forward to having him as a part of our club."

The 5'11, 188 pound native of Manchester, NH played with three teams last season, spending the most time with the Cincinnati Cyclones.

In addition to this trade, the Ice Pilots have placed forward AJ MacLean on the 30 day injured reserve list.

Don't miss the hard hitting, exciting action, as the Ice Pilots' next home game is Friday, February 22 at 7:05 p.m. vs. Gwinnett at the Civic Center. It is College Night, as tickets are just $5 for students, faculty and family. Group Tickets and Military Packages are still available through the Ice Pilots office.
